HP-IB Address

Selection

Each instrument connected to the HP-IB interface bus requires a unique address.

The address provides a method for the system computer to select individual

instruments on the bus. The address of the HP 1650B/51B defaults at power up to

decimal "07". The corresponding ASCII code is a listen of "’" and a talk address of

"G." To change the address of the HP 1650B/51B proceed as follows:

1. Press the I/O key on the front-panel keypad and the I/O menu will appear on

screen.

2. Rotate the KNOB until "I/O Port Configuration" is highlighted.

3. Press the SELECT key and the External I/O Port Configuration menu will

appear on screen.
