4. Select the HP-IB Address field with the KNOB and press the SELECT key.

5. When the pop-up field appears on screen, rotate the KNOB to select the

desired HP-IB address.

6. Press the SELECT key to enter the new address.

7. Select the DONE field in the upper-right corner with the KNOB to exit the

External I/O Port Configuration menu.

RS-232-C

Interface

The HP 1650B/51B interfaces with RS-232-C communication lines through a

standard 25 pin D connector. The HP 1650B/51B is compatible with RS-232-C

protocol. When a hardwire handshake method is used, the Data Terminal Ready

(DTR) line (pin 20 on the Computer/Modem connector) is used to signal whether

space is available in the logical I/O buffer for more data. Pin outs of the RS-232-C

connectors are listed in table 2-4.
