Derive From Double Sided Spur
Introduction
The Derive From Double Sided Spur method is one of the most accurate
Detector Constant Calibration methods available. However, it requires
additional equipment and presents a high level of technical difficulty.
This calibration method requires the generation of modulation sidebands.
The sideband (spur) level relative to the carrier level (dBc) and the
spur offset frequency must be determined first using an RF spectrum
analyzer or modulation analyzer. You will be required to define the
relative level and offset frequency values in the Calibration Process display
either during the measurement definition or when you reach the Connect
Diagram.
The system measures the phase detector output for the known spur levels
and calculates the Phase Detector Constant.
