Introduction
RF Sources are supported by the HP 3048A Phase Noise Measurement
System to automate the measurements. The sources can be configured
to set the output frequency, amplitude, and modulation over the HP-IB.
The type of measurement to be made, the carrier frequency, output level,
source drift, and noise level measured determine which RF Source best
suits the application.
This section covers the HP supported RF Sources, the required parameter
entries for configuring them, and their performance.
