Down Converter: This indicates whether or not a Down Converter is
being used in the measurement. If the Down Converter being used is an
HP 11729C, an indication is made as to whether it is under system or
manual control.

LNA:
This indicates the state of the Low Noise Amplifier (LNA)
the HP 11848A Phase Noise Interface. The LNA is configured either In
or Out depending on the output power level of the phase detector. Along
with the Phase Detector Constant, the LNA configuration (In or Out)
determines the HP 3048A System Noise Floor, exclusive of the reference
source.
